Make Money With Your Blog Day 1

So as promised, I'm putting up a five day money making/affiliate marketing guide using all the knowledge I have gained thus far in my dabbles with affiliate marketing. If you follow all these steps you WILL make money but remember that you get out of it as much as you put into it.

I believe that each step should be thoroughly researched in order to create the best site and content possible so a minimum of one day should be used during each step. For some it may not take as long and for some it may take much longer. Please keep this in mind and do not give up on your blog because of early obstacles.

I have tried to write this guide in an easy to understand format. Each day I will be posting another days worth of work. but all comments, suggestions, and questions are more than appreciated.

Day One (finding a niche and doing some research)

I know that affiliate marketing can be a bit overwhelming and daunting at first but do not be fooled, once the basics are covered it is a relatively simple and exciting way to make money online.

Start by sitting down and writing out some ideas for a niche. Try and choose something you will enjoy writing about as constant daily updates to your content will be essential to your blogs success. Once you have some interests/ideas written out head on over to to the Google Trends tool and type in your different subjects. This should bring up results showing the search popularity of the particular subject. This can be a very useful resource as this will tell you how much traffic is possible in your niche subject. Remember traffic is key to your success so make sure to choose the niche that will attract the biggest audience.

Once you have narrowed down your ideas and done a bit of research check out the Google Keywords tool and enter your subject in the search line. This will bring up popular keywords related to your subject. Take note of these keywords and save them somewhere as these will be very useful later on.

Once you have narrowed your subjects down to one niche, begin doing some research on that particular niche and start writing out some ideas for future articles. This could include tutorials, reviews, news articles, interviews, or anything else that you think other people will enjoy reading about.

Thats it for day one. Really put some strong thought into your niche as this is going to be the step that makes or breaks your blog. Lastly here is a list of possible niches =) Feel free to comment here with questions!
